La Gomera

La Gomera

Last year we discovered one of the most magical Canary islands: La Gomera. For those who doesn't know, is the third smallest of the eight main islands of this archipelago.

At first you may think that it will be a bit of headache to arrive, as you must catch a ferry or a flight from Tenerife, but it's worth it.

What attracted us to go there was the diversed vegetation that you can admire. All the routes that you can make and of course Garajonay National Park.

The park covers almost the 11% of the island and the forests hosts a great diversity of plant species, which are often surrounded by a sea of fog that gives the forest a magical aspect.

After doing some routes, we understood why it's known as "Isla Mágica" (the magical island).

If you're planning to go, the best way to get around island is by renting a car. With five we had enough time to explore all the corners and also the delicious local cuisine.
